Weekend Trip

This past weekend we went into Charlotte to see Scott's dad and step mom. It had been 2 1/2 years since we were to their house last. Payten was only 11 months and I was pregnant with Teagen. Too long of a time in between visiting at their house. Well so we got there Friday night and left on Sunday night.

On Sat. we pretty much just lounged around all day till about 330 then we left to catch the new train uptown for supper. The girls have never been on a real train and so it was a great surprise to them. They were so thrilled when they saw the train. Of course they both had to sit by a window. It was a nice ride through town. We went to a burger joint for supper, where the girls sat by a huge window and watched the trains go by while they ate. That was enough to keep them occupied while they ate. After we caught the train back to the station to pick up the van to head home. Poor Teagen was so upset that we had to get off the train that I had to carry her kicking and screaming off and too the van. I felt so bad and everyone thought it was so sweet. A little embarrassing when you get off with a screaming child in front of a police officer, who just stood there watching.Well she finally calmed down when we got back to the van.

This is the train

Here the girls are with their Pap in the train ready for the ride.

Girls and their Mommy waiting for the train to arrive to go back home.

Sunday we went to church and then back to the house for lunch. After us ladies left the kids with the men and we went shopping for about an hour. We left them at about 5 to come back to our house. It was a great visit and a nice little get away.
